Urban landscape: meeting place and playground of Metelkova mestoFaculty: fakulteta za arhitekturo

From personal experience of Metelkova and with a hint of common sense, I answered my questions about successful meeting place (its structure, offer, possibilities of interaction etc.) It should be big enough that different groups of people can co-exist in the same space and have some privacy, but still small enough that one group of people can successfully create relationships among its members. It should be dynamic in a sense of offering big variety of sitting positions, so people would have a possiblity of choice. Its form should be structured in a way that people can always be in interaction with others, not feeling isolated and excluded.
In my head I developed a story about landscape hidden under urban tissue that at one point peeks out, creates a form and transforms into urban landscape. As a base I chose Trimoterm panels. Spacing is used because of practical reasons and appearance – water and dirt don't stay on the object but fall in the spaces between and so the surface is pleasant to sit on, usage of material is lower, there are linear LED diode lamps which create interesting lightning of the object during the night.
