We kicked-off this year's competition with a new image. Along with preparing the competition brief we also took the time to refresh and redesign the web content. If you're feeling nostalgic, you can still visit the old page here.... More >>

There were two projects selected for temporary realisation during the first competition:
1st place: Jelena Grujić, SRB - "Relaxation wall" (2007)
Jelena convinced the jury with her divan (sofa) overlooking the river and enriching the Krakovski nasip embankment. Her solution is simple, and serves as a kind of urban furniture, simultaneously charming us with its attractive appearance. The divan is now located in Belgrade, in front of the Trimo office building.

2nd place: Rok Grdiša, SLO – “Pavilion” (2007)
Rok's Pavilion is ideal for installation in Tivoli park, or any natural surrounding, since it communicates with its individual components as well as through colour and dynamics. Pavilion's roof also serves as a shelter from sun or rain, and temporarily hosted an exhibition on ecology by primary school students. Currently 'Pavilion' is located in front of the Hala Tivoli sports center in Ljubljana, and will eventually be made into an information centre in September 2010.

The second competition produced the permanent realisation of a cultural stage, which is now placed on the platform next to the youth hostel Celica (Metelkova City).
1st place: Jan Ledwon & Alicja Chola, POL – “White Dancer” (2009)
The most convincing solution was without a doubt a sculptural solution for an event stage, which won everyone over with its simplicity and white innocence that challenges the users and cries out for colour (from without). The stage as a focal point defines the space and fills it out extremely well. Its volume, which may be static or dynamic, satisfies on both a functional and aesthetic level. Sensitive use of the material makes it tangible, further helping convince the jury in its unanimous decision in choosing this the winner.
